Since 2021, John Deere has been a steadfast and strategic partner in advancing the World Food Programme’s mission to end global hunger. Through over $8 million in philanthropic support and meaningful employee engagement, John Deere has fueled innovation, accelerated WFP’s emergency response and strengthened food systems in communities around the world. From backing WFP’s Innovation Accelerator – where scale-ups and boot camps are helping small-scale farmers thrive – to rapidly mobilizing support when war began in Ukraine, their partnership touches communities across continents.

In 2023, John Deere deepened its commitment with a transformational $5 million investment to help develop WFP’s first organizational innovation strategy – empowering WFP country offices, regional bureaus, and headquarters to adapt faster, think boldly, and maximize impact. Whether through cutting-edge innovation or hands-on employee giving, John Deere continues to play a vital role in creating a world where everyone has access to the food they need to survive and thrive.

“The partnership between John Deere and the World Food Programme Innovation Accelerator stems from a shared vision of eradicating hunger sustainably and for the long term. We recognize the vital importance of investing in innovation to address this challenge effectively.”
