World Food Program USA is a proud supporter of the World Food Programme. Since 1995, we’ve worked to inspire the American public – individuals, businesses and policymakers – to do everything they can to feed the world’s hungriest people. Take a peek into our 2023 Annual Report to see highlights from another year of global impact.

Up to 343 million people experienced extreme hunger in 2024. Violent conflict, extreme weather and forced displacement pushed people to their absolute limits. Too many didn’t survive. This is unconscionable on a planet that produces more than enough food to feed us all.

At World Food Program USA, we believe it is our shared responsibility to ensure no one goes hungry and to help those who have nowhere else to turn.

WFP’s 2024 impact

In 2024, WFP assisted 124M people. Over half of the people served were women and girls.

5.5 Billion

WFP delivered 5.5 billion
pounds of food.

FOOD CONNECTS US ALL

You play a central role in helping WFP reach people in more than 120 countries
and territories around the world. Last year, WFP USA supporters helped raise $125 million dollars in support of WFP’s lifesaving work. One-fifth of these funds went to three of the worst hunger crises in the world: Gaza, Haiti and Ukraine.

Gaza
Palestinians in Gaza suffered through another year of war. The threat of famine loomed and nowhere was safe. WFP was one of the few humanitarian agencies in Gaza to remain operational, reaching more than 1.8M people with lifesaving food.

Haiti
Decades of relentless conflict, political instability and natural disasters spiraled into a hunger catastrophe in 2024. For the second time in Haiti's history, hunger reached a life-threatening level. WFP scaled up to reach 2M people.
SEE YOUR IMPACT
Ukraine
Ukraine marked its third year of war, which intensified as air strikes killed and injured civilians almost daily. Fighting continued to displace families, destroy farmland and cripple food production. More than 7M people faced extreme hunger, and WFP reached 2.9M of them
