As Deputy Director, Public Relations for World Food Program USA, Abigail is responsible for generating brand awareness and bringing the incredible stories of WFP’s work to the public through executive thought leadership, events, media relations, and partner communications.
Abigail is a well-rounded communications specialist with nearly 15 years of experience at nonprofits in the food, environment, and public health sectors. She previously served as Communications Director at the regional nonprofit Food & Friends and Media Relations Manager with the Center for Food Safety. In these roles she had her hand in everything from digital fundraising and social media strategy to editorial writing and grassroots advocacy. Abigail holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Communications from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Anthropology of Food from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
A resident of Washington, DC, she loves exploring the city with her family and dog, while also escaping to nature as often as possible.
