Mohamed Abdullah is the Director of Accounting for World Food Program USA where he is responsible for overseeing the day to day implementation of WFP USA’s accounting processes while ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. Mohamed brings to the position extensive experience in the international development sector at large for-profit and non-profit organizations in the Washington, DC area. Before joining WFP USA, Mohamed worked as Internal Auditor, Senior Accountant, and Accounting Manager at Chemonics International and Population Services International (PSI). Throughout his career, Mohamed has focused on minimizing financial risk, building team capacity, and improving and standardizing procedures.
Mohamed holds a BS in accounting from the University of Maryland-College Park.
