Meghan Amoroso

As the Senior Director of External Affairs at WFP USA, Meghan Amoroso is responsible for building and implementing multi-channel communication initiatives to advance the nonprofit’s brand, policy and fundraising goals, alongside the Chief Marketing Officer. Meghan has nearly 15 years of experience delivering award-winning communication campaigns that drive awareness, engagement and action among target stakeholders for corporate and nonprofit organizations spanning the health, biomedical, retail and safety sectors.
Most recently, Meghan served as Director of Mission Marketing at March of Dimes. She led cross-functional teams that developed and executed integrated marketing initiatives for the nonprofit’s programs, research, consumer and professional education, and government affairs initiatives. Prior to that time, Meghan was the Senior Communications Officer at the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health. She managed media, digital and stakeholder relations and storytelling for biomedical research partnerships, global health grants, giving campaigns and donor events in support of the lifesaving mission of the U.S. National Institutes of Health.
She also worked at a public relations agency, building communications campaigns that spanned corporate social responsibility, consumer and healthcare provider awareness raising, medical device launches and FDA approvals. She served as a main client contact for organizations such as Walmart and the Walmart Foundation, Medtronic, American Osteopathic Association, Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals and National Osteoporosis Foundation.
Meghan earned an M.S. in Public Relations from Boston University and a B.A. with a dual major in Media Arts and Design (concentration in journalism) and Dance from James Madison University.
