As part of the Institutional Partnerships Team, Katie Siahkoohi works with potential and current private foundation partners to co-develop activities and programs that provide transformational impact. As a key part of her role, she project manages the full cycle of secured restricted grants in support of WFP efforts globally, including proposal writing, outcome and budget tracking, reporting, and partner communications. In January 2019, she was tapped to establish the Private Foundations program for World Food Program USA, now the Institutional Partnerships team.
Katie has career experience working with non-profits of various sizes that focused on education and environmental policy including City Kids Wilderness Project and Herman & Associates. She earned a B.A. in Globalization & International Affairs and a B.A. in History & Political Science as an Honors Scholar from Eastern Kentucky University and an M.A. in International Development from American University’s School of International Service.
Katie resides in the Washington, DC area where she enjoys gardening, pottery wheel throwing, and cooking. She also enjoys exploring new parks and DC museums with her two children and partner.
