Daniel J. Pino is the Assistant Manager of Communications at World Food Program USA.
He began his career at the National LGBTQ Task Force as an executive assistant, later becoming assistant director of the National Conference for LGBTQ Equality: Creating Change. Daniel went on to serve as a communications strategist at NMAC and as an account supervisor at Edelman. Most recently, Daniel supported media relations efforts at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, launching a global campaign for World Mental Health Day and overseeing a breaking news blitz around the 2024 renewal of the U.S. PEPFAR program.
Daniel was named an inaugural Hogan’s Fellow by the Public Affairs Council in 2023. He holds a B.A. in Art History and Global Affairs, with a minor in European studies from George Mason University. Daniel earned his Master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University in 2018 and received the Tropaia Spirit of Georgetown Award for his commitment to social justice and community service. An aspiring author, Daniel resides outside of Washington D.C. with his husband and their pet dog.
