Claudio Silva

As Vice President of Finance and Operations and an integral member of the senior leadership team, Claudio Silva provides strategic vision and leadership in the areas of finance and accounting, information systems and operations to ensure operational excellence across the organization. Prior to his work at WFP USA, Claudio served as the first CFO and Treasurer at the International Budget Partnership (IBP), a spin-off of the Center of Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) where he was previously the International Finance Manager. Claudio’s responsibilities at IBP included executive team leadership, establishing all banking relationships and fiscal policies and procedures, and managing a budget which increased by 80 percent. He also developed and implemented a system of effective forecasting models and financial analysis tools.

Before CBPP, Claudio was the Manager of Field Office Financial Reporting at Population Services International and a Senior Accountant at both Grand Thornton, LLP and Aronson, LLC. Claudio reports directly to the CEO and oversees the activities of the finance and operations teams.

Claudio is a CPA and earned his BS in accounting from George Mason University.
