As a corporate supporter of WFP’s work, Soylent has been helping to solve hunger with WFP USA since 2016. Initially, its support went to WFP’s school meals program where, through its Friend Referral Program, it would provide four school meals per referral. As the relationship and support has grown, Soylent has shifted its generous support to WFP’s Innovation Accelerator where it was able to provide support to the fast growing hydroponics program that allows refugees to grow grains and other foods where water and land might be scarce. This program allows people to feed their families and the animals that provide nourishment and income. Currently, Soylent’s giving is designated to WFP’s greatest needs, which allows the organization to determine where the funding would have the biggest impact.
