Financial Disclosure

WFP USA is registered in the United States as a not-for-profit corporation. WFP USA is exempt from tax under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and qualifies for the maximum charitable contribution deduction by donors. Our Federal Identification (EIN) Number is 13-3843435.

The majority of our donors want their gift to be used wherever the need is greatest. This allows WFP USA the flexibility to use resources as efficiently as possible.

In the interest of transparency, we offer the following documents for online viewing and downloading in PDF format:

In addition, financial information may be obtained directly from state agencies.

We want you to feel good about your gift to WFP USA so we strive for excellence in financial accountability and transparency.

Donations made to WFP USA go to support WFP programs solving hunger in vulnerable communities worldwide. This gives us the flexibility to channel funds to wherever the needs are greatest.

WFP USA will fulfill a donor’s specified gift intent to the extent it is legal, possible and consistent with the organization’s mission, tax exempt purposes, ethics and capacity. To ensure that the funds are efficiently and appropriately used, WFP USA grants donations to the United Nations World Food Programme throughout the year and designates funds to specific WFP programs and/or country offices once the total contributions exceed a mutually agreed upon threshold for distribution to WFP. If WFP USA cannot for any reason abide by the donor’s intent, we will contact the donor to discuss the reassignment of their donation toward an appropriate current campaign.

A special note about emergency funding: Funds received in response to a specific WFP emergency operation will be deployed toward that specific emergency and not reserved for future emergencies or work in other parts of the world. WFP USA is committed to honoring donor intent and maintaining transparency with the donors who entrust us with their support.
