Liz is passionate about how storytelling can be used to change behavior. Prior to joining WFPUSA, Liz spent two years working in the non-profit sector, serving as a communications intern for the United Nations Foundation, where she curated her skills in digital advocacy and also worked in healthcare messaging, where she specialized in non-profit patient advocacy. She also worked as a border transition leader, directing educational seminars and community workshops on immigration.
Liz graduated from American University with a degree in International Relations with a specialization in food insecurity and marketing. Liz is an avid surfer in her free time, getting to the water whenever she can.
