Ways To GiveInside This Section
When the emergency is over our work is just beginning. We help families become self-sufficient, children get an education and communities better withstand future food crises. We are powered entirely by your donations. WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. Last year, WFP reached more than 80 million people in 82 countries with food assistance — but we need supporters like you to help us end hunger for good.
- $26 can provide a girl with daily take-home rations for half a year, giving families a reason to send their daughters to school in places where poverty and inequality mean that girls often don’t receive an education.
- $50 can provide a child with a healthy school meal for an entire year, giving poor families a reason to send their children to school and giving kids both a meal and an education.
- $72 can provide a family with a month's worth of nutritious food in a humanitarian crisis like Syria.
- $100 can provide ten babies with the right food to prevent malnutrition for one month during the critical first 1,000 days of life, when a child’s mental and physical development is determined.
Crisis in Syria
More than a third of Syria's population has fled the ongoing civil war; more than half of the refugees are children. WFP reaches roughly 4 million internally displaced Syrians and 1.5 million refugees in neighboring countries each month. Unfortunately, critical funding shortages have forced WFP to reduce the agency's level of assistance. Your donation can mean everything to a family caught in the crossfire.
Become a monthly donor
One in nine people in the world will go to bed hungry tonight. Hunger feeds on rising food prices, drought, floods, war, inequality and poverty. We can end hunger — but we need your help. Join World Food Program USA (WFP USA) by becoming a monthly donor and help us solve global hunger. A gift of $5, $10, $25 or any amount goes a long way to reaching hungry people in need.
Catherine Bertini Trust Fund for Girls Education
The Catherine Bertini Trust Fund for Girls Education aims to improve access to training and education for women and girls. Each year we select local organizations working in countries around the world to receive a grant for their operations and projects that increase educational opportunities for girls.
